The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District and Chairman, Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions, Senator Adetokunbo Mukhail Abiru and Billionaire Business Man, Yinka Folawiyo are among top Nigerians that would be honoured tomorrow at the Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative’s 2nd Year Anniversary Celebrations slated for tomorrow, Tuesday, 15th August.
Similarly, the body will also be honouring all Ikorodu Division Royal Fathers with the Pillar of Peace and Security Award, in recognition of their visionary leadership towards the formation of the IDPIL and their commendable efforts in curbing the rising insecurity challenges across Ikorodu Division prior to the establishment of the body in 2021.
Zenith Bank, Heritage Bank, FCMB and Multichoice Nigeria will also be honoured in the Peace and Security Partners’ Corporate category of the award.
Also to be honoured at the 2-in-1 event are two of Ikorodu’s foremost social clubs, Oriwu Club and The Exclusives Club, for their regular financial contributions to the initiative.
Ikorodu Oga Radio can authoritatively report that Meritorious Gallantry Award will also be presented to the Commandant of the IDPIL-LJTF, in person of Akogun Lanre Labinjo and some outstanding operatives of the body.
We were reliably informed that the 2nd Anniversary and Meritorious Service Awards is meant to serve as a platform for rendering account of stewardship on the body’s activities to the Royal Fathers who set up the body and to receive feedbacks and suggestions from key Ikorodu Division community stakeholders with a view to charting the course for the body’s future activities.
The Meritorious Service and Special Recognition Awards is also meant to celebrate and recognize individuals, corporate organization and outstanding operatives of the IDPIL-LJTF for their gallantry service to the Division.
A former Minister for Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe is expected to chair the event that would be graced by notable personalities across Ikorodu Division and beyond.
The 2-in-1 event will hold at the Palace of the Obateru of Egbin Kingdom, Oba Akeem Adeoriyomi Oyebo, who doubles as the Royal Chief Host of the event.
