INSECURITY: NIGERIAN IMMIGRATION SERVICE, LAGOS COMMAND SET TO COLLABORATE WITH IKORODU LOCAL GOVERNMENT

Nigerian Immigration Service, Lagos State Command has sought collaboration with the Ikorodu Local Government in the discharge of its duties within the council area.

The proposed collaboration is coming on the heels of a courtesy visit to the local government secretariat by the Comptroller-General of Immigration, Lagos Command, Bala Dangana PCC, FNSE.

Dangana paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina, with his team on Thursday.

The Comptroller-General highlighted the current structure of the Immigration Service in Lagos and the strategic measures put in place to improve the quality service delivery of the institution.

Responding, Adesina commended the Comptroller General for the visible improvements on its service delivery, particularly as they affect the security system in Lagos State.


The Council boss further applauded the NIS for the landmark achievement in the areas of E-Passport and establishment of an immigration unit in Igbogbo, Ikorodu, as he stressed the importance of Igbogbo community and Ikorodu in Lagos State.

Adesina further emphasized that his administration has so far supported the institution and is willing to further support and collaborate with the institution in areas of security and issuance of international passport.

Adeshina was joined by the Alagura of Agura Kingdom, Oba Ahmed Olakunle Ogunnaike Ogunderu, Senior Management Staffs and cabinet members of the council to receive the august visitor.
