On behalf of my family and the good people of Lagos East Senatorial District, I heartily celebrate a distinguished icon of community journalism in Nigeria, Chief (Dr.) Monzor Kolawole Olowosago, the Baaroyin of Ikorodu and Publisher of Oriwu Sun Newspaper, on the occasion of his 75th birthday.
At 75, your life stands as a shining testament to excellence, resilience, and unwavering dedication to the growth of grassroots journalism. I celebrate your immense contributions to the media industry, particularly in the community news reporting and publishing space, where you have attained national prominence.
Through sheer hard work, vision, courage, and perseverance, you nurtured the Oriwu Sun brand from its humble beginnings in 1985 into a formidable media institution. Your commitment to telling the stories of the people and giving voice to community development has earned you widespread respect and admiration.
Your labour of service to Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, and the people remains deeply appreciated and will continue to resonate for years to come. You have not only built a legacy in journalism but have also contributed meaningfully to the social and cultural advancement of Ikorodu division.
