The newly elected Leader of Ikorodu legislative house, Hon Adebowale Adebola Ajayi has promised to lead a formidable legislative chamber in the next four years.
Hon Ajayi made this disclosure shortly after he was elected to lead the Ikorodu legislative chamber by his colleagues on Monday, 2nd August.
Speaking to newsmen, Adebola noted that the house was the real council, being the representatives of the people and that he will lead a formidable house.
‘I will lead a formidable legislative chamber as the House leader. We will embark on good laws that will guarantee the delivery of democratic dividends to the good people of Ikorodu local government’, he promised.
The House Leader noted that, as representative of the people, he will work with his colleagues to play the role of checks and balancing as stipulated in the constitution.
On his advise to his colleagues, the new house leader charged them to get themselves familiar with the administrative law of the State, to enhance their capacity to deliver on their legislative duties.
‘I advise them to work in tandem with the legislative rules, especially the administrative law of Lagos State. They should learn to follow all the rudiments of the law because it will help them in the discharge of their legislative duties’, he said.
