As the 2023 general elections draws closer, Chieftains of the ruling, All Progressives Congress APC have continued to intensify their campaign efforts, with the aim of boosting the chances of APC candidates in the elections.

A top APC Chieftain in Ikorodu Division, Otunba Amid Kunle Oduborisha, through his AMIKO Volunteers has complimented the party’s campaign efforts, through market storm.

The AMIKO Volunteers Campaign team stormed the popular Ayangburen Market, Sabo in Ikorodu on Wednesday, to sensitize the traders on the need to vote massively for all APC candidates in Saturday and 11th March elections.

The team, led by Mr Segun Oladapo popularly called Oscar was joined by the Chairman of the Arewa Community of APC Ikorodu Division, Alh Matti walked round the market, sharing AMIKO branded aprons, face caps, handbills and other items to the traders.

He added that, it was also a way of sensitizing the traders on the need to vote massively for the ruling All Progressives Congress APC from top to bottom.

Speaking on the essence of the market storm, Mr Segun Oladapo, AMIKO Lagos East Coordinator noted that the group decided to storm the Sabo market based on the fact that market men and women represents the highest population of voters in any election.

He added that, it was also a way of sensitizing the traders on the need to vote massively for the ruling All Progressives Congress APC from top to bottom in the February and March elections.

‘We are here to identify the market men and women and to appreciate them for their usual show of love and support for our party and Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Gov Sanwo-Olu and all our candidates’, he noted.

‘We are here to appeal to them to ensure they sustain the tradition of supporting the progressive party and to admonished them to sustain the trend in the coming elections’, he stated.

‘AMIKO is doing his own part to add colour and value to the campaign, by complimenting the party’s efforts, through this market storm’, he concluded.

Similarly, Chairman of Ikorodu Division Arewa Community, Alh Matti who spoke in Hausa Language appealed to his fellow Hausa men to support and vote massively for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sanwo-Olu and all other APC candidates in the

general elections.

The market storm started which kicked off from the cow and goat market moved to the office of the Iyaloja General, down to the food stuff and provision section and terminated at the Better Life market.
