Ikorodu Division’s premier social club, The Exclusives has hosted two prominent Ikorodu Division sons who are members of the club to a special reception.
The duo were honoured on Sunday, for the recent feats they both achieved in their individual careers.
Abiru was recently elevated as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, while Sanusi, a legal luminary was recently inducted into the prestigious class of Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
Speaking on the special reception, Chairman The Exclusives, Bashorun Babatunde Tajudeen Rotinwa noted that it was a great honour for two Ikorodu sons to have been so honoured at the national level at the same time.
‘For once, Ikorodu Division is privileged to produce a Justice of the Supreme Court, in person of Hon Justice Abeeb Adewale Abiru JSC and, for the umpteenth time we sre having another member of the Inner Bar, in person of Mr Said Olugbenga Sanusi inducted as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN. We, The Exclusives are particularly delighted to celebrate them as they represent the core values of our founding fathers’
Rotinwa further commended the two Legal icons for sustaining the legacy of the Founding Fathers of the club and for following in their Noble steps.
The Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, who was represented by a former Commissioner for Information and the Agba-Akin of Ikorodu Kingdom, Otunba Ayodele Elesho, KJW praised the two Honourees for doing Ikorodu Division proud through their latest accomplishments.
Chief Justice of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Alogba in his remarks congratulated Oba Shotobi on the honour done Ikorodu Kingdom under his reign.
Alogba also commended the Abiru and Sanusi both of whom he described as brothers and friends for making Ikorodu Division proud.
The jury concluded his speech by charging parents to inspire their children with the professional excellence of the two learned gentlemen so that they took can follow suit.
Similarly, the Chairman, Eminent Persons of Ikorodu Division Liaison Group, Engr Chief R.O Shoderu applauded the feats of the two Ikorodu sons.
He particularly praised the Abiru Family of Ikorodu for producing outstanding sons who are making Ikorodu Division proud in different sectors of the society.
Prominent among dignitaries that graced the reception were High Chief Adewunmi Ogunsanya, SAN Odofin of Ikorodu and Chairman, BOT of The Exclusives.
Many judges and judicial officers across Lagos State also showed up in large numbers to identify with their professional colleagues.
