Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria Education Loan Fund, NELFund Mr Akintunde Sawyerr will tomorrow grace the 3rd edition of IDPIL Scholarship and Bursary Award Presentation.
Mr Sawyerr will grace the presentation as Special Guest of Honour, while a former Special Adviser to the Governor on Taxation Mr F.O Lasisi will the Chairman of the Day.
Mr Sawyerr was appointed in 2024 as Managing Director of the National Education Loan Fund NELFund by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Ikorodu Oga Radio was reliably informed that Mr Sawyerr was greatly enthused by the massive investment of the IDPIL in supporting the educational development of Ikorodu Division Undergraduates hence his decision to honour the IDPIL invitation as Special Guest of Honour at tomorrow’s event.
Sawyer was said to have expressed his delight to grace the event and believes that IDPIL and NELFund shares similar passion of supporting the academic dreams of Nigerian students.
The NELFund boss would also use the opportunity of tomorrow’s event to introduce teeming Ikorodu Division students to the benefits of applying for the Federal Government Students loan.
Tomorrow’s presentation would be the third consecutive time in three years that the Odofin Adewunmi Ogunsanya-led Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative would be giving out financial support to undergraduates of higher institutions across the Division.
The Scholarship and Bursary Award which started in 2022 with N20 Million Naira was increased to N30 Million this year, with a view to accommodate more beneficiaries.
Ikorodu Division royal fathers, led by the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi and other notable personalities are also expected to grace the presentation event which holds at the Ikorodu Ultra-modern Town Hall.
