In a bid to promote educational values, creativity, and personal development among children, Unique Treasure Foundation, a non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable children through art and creativity, organized a creative art competition and gift presentation for pupils of Osho Sholu Primary School, Erunwen, Ikorodu.
The event, which took place on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, brought together pupils, teachers, and members of the foundation under the inspiring theme, “You Are the Sole Designer of Your Future.”
Founded over four years ago by Mrs. Olushola Ayodele, Unique Treasure Foundation has remained committed to nurturing the talents and potentials of children while encouraging them to become responsible and productive members of society.
During the event, pupils participated in creative art activities and competitions using recyclable materials sourced from their immediate environment. The exercise challenged the children to think creatively while promoting environmental consciousness through the reuse of waste materials.
At the end of the competition, outstanding participants who demonstrated exceptional creativity and craftsmanship emerged as first, second, and third place winners. The winners were rewarded with cash prizes as a means of encouraging academic excellence and creative thinking.
The kindergarten pupils were also not left out of the celebration as they actively participated in artistic activities, including the creation of a colourful tree artwork that attracted admiration from teachers and guests present at the event.
Speaking during the presentation, the founder of Unique Treasure Foundation, Mrs. Olushola Ayodele, emphasized the importance of education, creativity, and self-belief in shaping the future of every child.
She encouraged the pupils to remain focused on their studies, develop their talents, and strive to become the best versions of themselves.
According to her, the theme of the programme was carefully chosen to remind children that they possess the power to shape their destinies through hard work, determination, and positive choices.
“We want every child to understand that their future is in their hands. Through education, creativity, and discipline, they can achieve greatness and contribute positively to society,” she said.
Furthermore, the foundation distributed snacks and refreshments to all participating pupils, creating an atmosphere of excitement and celebration.
Teachers and school administrators commended the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that not only rewards excellence but also inspires children to explore their creative abilities beyond the classroom.
Many of the pupils expressed happiness and gratitude for the opportunity to showcase their talents and receive recognition for their efforts.
The programme further highlighted the role of community-based organizations in supporting education and child development, especially at the grassroots level.
