Ikorodu federal lawmaker, Hon Babajimi Benson on Tuesday, paid an unscheduled visit to the Ikorodu General Hospital where he donated 50 bags of 10kg bags of rice to the frontline health workers, as his little support and encouragement to them in the fight against Covid-19 health challenge in the State.
Addressing the Chief Medical Director of the facility Dr Taiwo Hassan, and some selected staff members, Hon Benson stated that, his visit was to formally pay a congratulatory visit to the new MD, whom he described as a good brother and friend, while it was also aimed at showing appreciation to the health workers in his constituency.
‘My short visit to this facility today is to formally pay congratulatory visit to the new MD, Dr Taiwo Hassan, who is my very good brother and friend on his assumption of office. I am also here to appreciate your efforts as frontline health workers in the fight against Covid-19 in the state’, he said.
The bags of rice was later received, on behalf of the health workers by the Chief Medical Director, in company of his Deputy and other senior officials of the hospital.
Similarly, another 50 bags of 10kg rice was also donated to the Ijede General Hospital health workers by the amiable federal lawmaker.
