Barely 24 hours after the declaration of winners of the just concluded local government elections in the State, the Chairman of Ikorodu Oga Development Association (IKODASS), Mr Rotimi Erogbogbo has sent congratulatory messages to all newly elected
Chairmen and Councillors across Ikorodu Division, in the just concluded Local
Government Elections conducted be LASIEC.
The message reads in part, ‘While we heartily rejoice with you at your victory at the polls, we enjoin you to be magnanimous in victory; extend the hand
fellowship to all and sundry. Election and electioneering is over’.
‘Now is the time to build our community. The work at hand requires the
input and support of everyone. Ikorodu can no longer afford to lag
behind in any front’, it added.
Erogbogbo equally adminsihed the new council heads to hit the ground running and get to work immediately.
‘Do well to remember your electoral promises to the great people of
Ikorodu. Leave no stone unturned to bring them to bear. That is the
only way posterity will remember you for good. As you start off, you
have a unique opportunity to put naysayers to shame through the
positive impact you leave in the lives of our people. Do not let the
moment slip away. Grasp it with both hands and work assiduously till
Ikorodu assumes her rightful place’.
