Member, representing Ikorodu federal constituency at the House of Reps, Hon Babajimi Benson has sustained his tradition of showing concerns to the needs of the less privileged and vulnerable in his federal constituency, by giving out the February 2019 ration of the monthly I-Care food bank to over 300 beneficiaries.
The beneficiaries include widows, widowers, the aged and the less privileged people who selected from communities across the division, after nomination by some individuals and organisations.
In an exclusive chat with Ikorodu Oga Radio, Mrs Jumoke Benson, wife of the federal lawmaker stated that the February distribution of the I-Care food bank to the less privileged was a demonstration of Hon Jimi Benson’s commitment towards putting smiles on the faces of his constituents.
She explained that the distributions, which usually hold on Saturdays was shifted to a Sunday due to the APC presidential rally, which was held in Lagos on Saturday, 9th February. She added that, her caring husband could not afford not to put smiles on the faces of his constituency, hence the shift.
Mrs Benson added that the February distribution was also a demonstration of Jimi Benson’s love for his constituents, as it is coming in the month of February when the whole world celebrates Valentine.
The event was witnessed y the new Lagos State Head of Service, Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola, former Ag Commissioner for Housing, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola among other APC party stalwarts across Ikorodu division.
