Hon Babajimi Benson, Member, representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the lower chamber of the national assembly have promised a speedy passage of the 2017 budget proposal sent to the national assembly by the President, Muhammed Buhari.
Hon Benson made this remark in a telephone interview on Ikorodu Oga Radio News Round expressed optimism that the 2017 budget, when implemented will bring Nigeria out of the current economic doldrums.
He spoke against the backdrop of high expectations of Nigerians of Nigerians from the yet to be passed budget, tagged Budget of Growth and Recovery. Hon Benson said, ‘with the price of crude oil now selling at about 61, a little above the budget benchmark of N40, I am certain that, with full implementation of the budget by the executive, Nigerians should expect a positive turnaround very soon’.
