For the second year running, Lagos State House of Assembly Majority Leader, Honourable S.O.B Agunbiade on Friday, January 13th, 2017, emerged as the best lawmaker in plenary session at the state house of Assembly for 2016.
The state lawmaker, who represents Ikorodu Constituency 1, emerged as the choice of the State Assembly reporters for his law-making prowess and articulacy on the floor during debates. He had also won the maiden edition of the awards in 2015.
According to some of the Assembly Correspondents, the Best Male Plenary Lawmaker Award, bestowed on the Ikorodu-born lawmaker is the most important of all the awards, since the award borders on the lawmaker’s primary function.
Speaking to Ikorodu Oga Radio in a telephone conversation, Hon Agunbiade who dedicated the award to the people of his Ikorodu constituency 1 expressed gratitude to his part, APC, party elders and Ikorodu Constituency 1residents for the opportunity to represents them.
He further disclosed that the award, instead of making him feel fulfilled would rather put him on his toes and drive him towards the delivery of more dividends of democracy to his constituents.
