ANOTHER 500 FAMILIES BENEFIT AS HON JIMI BENSON’S I-CARE FOOD BANK REACHES 25,000 FAMILIES IN SIX YEARS

The Monthly free food distribution tagged, iCare Food Bank has so far recahed out to about 25,000 families in it’s six years of existence.

This revelation was made by Hon Jimi Benson, promoter of the iCare food bank, shortly after the distribution of foods to 500 beneficiaries across Ikorodu Division on Saturday, 8th May.

The Ikorodu federal lawmaker distributes Apo Anu Bags (staple food items) to 500 residents of Ikorodu Federal Constituency on a monthly basis, through The iCare Foodbank.

Making the announcement, Hon Benson said, ‘the iCare Foodbank monthly food distribution has fed over 25,000 families since its commencement in August 2015’.

The Ikorodu born federal lawmaker also urged other well-meaning Nigerians to join him in feeding those in need, assuring them that, in doing so they will still have enough on their table

‘Join me on this quest. Let us feed the hungry in your Community’, he said.

Earlier, some APC chieftains poured encomiums on the federal lawmaker for exhibiting caring attitude and good gestures to his Constituents.

In his remark, a former Secretary to the Lagos State Government, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Bashorun applauds the unflinching love of the Member House of Representative Hon.Babajimi toward his his constituents. He also charged youths to emulate the good gesture of Hon. Benson.

Similarly, a former Senator and former Works and Housing Minister, Senator Seye Ogunlewe also commended the gesture of Hon.Babajimi because, while noting that, the responsibility of being an effective legislator is not an easy task.

Senator Ogunlewe further charged all local government chairmen in Ikorodu division to emulate Hon. Benson’s people-centred initiatives and replicate same in their respective council areas.

Also, a former Acting Commissioner for Housing, Hon.Adebimpe Akinsola lauded the, iCare food foundation for it’s consistency in distributing free monthly food package to the less privileged. She equally praised Hon Benson’s commendable efforts in the areas of road rehabilitation, reconstruction of schools, health centres and many others across the Ikorodu federal Constituency.

The councillor, representing Hon Benson’s ward- Owode-Ibeshe, Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA, Hon. MKO Arowolo also described Hon Benson as ‘our hero, a role model to the core and he is my mentor because been a person with disability and meeting Hon. Babajimi is a blessing because he his changing what people’s perspective about politics and politicians, by putting smiles on faces of his Constituents’.

A Chairmanship aspirant in Ijede LCDA, Hon Oluwatosin Onamade also appaluded Hon Benson’s iCare food foundation initiative.

‘He has done a great job in the aspect of education and security’, he remarked.
