AFTERMATH OF ELEPE COMMUNITY JUNJOR HIGH SCHOOL FIRE, HON SHOLAJA PLEDGES TO FACILITATE PROMPT RECONSTRUCTION OF SOLAR SYSTEM

Following an unfortunate fire incident that destroyed the entire solar power facility at the Elepe Community Junior High School, Ikorodu Hon N.S Solaja, member representing Ikorodu Constituency 2 at the House of Assembly has pledged prompt replacement and reconstruction of the damaged solar power systems.

Solaja made the pledge shortly after paying an on-the-spot visit to the scene of the fire incident, which completely destroyed the solar power facility.

N.S described the fire incident, whose cause was yet to be ascertained as unfortunate and totally unforeseen.

The fire outbreak started around 12:30 in the afternoon and was put out by combined efforts of emergency responders, residents and other stakeholders.

Also on ground to see the extent of the damage was the Councillor Ward C5, Hon Adekule Anifowoshe, who represents the area.

In his brief reaction, the School Principal, Mr Timothy Kolawole commended all stakeholders for their efforts in putting out the fire, noting that the entire school buildings could have been completely destroyed but for the timely intervention of all stakeholders.

He also appealed to the Lagos State Governnent to assist the school in reconstructing the facility for the benefit of the students.
