Chairman, House of Reps Committee on Defense and member, representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the House of Reps has held a Consultative meeting with over 900 executive members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across various local government in Ikorodu Division, ahead of the formal flag-off of his 3rd term electioneering campaign.
Speaking on the essence of the meeting, Hon Benson stated that he invited the party’s stakeholders to the meeting in order to formally inform them of the flag-off of his campaign activities.
He noted that any successful campaign must be with strong collaboration with the party stakeholders, hence the meeting.
Benson reiterated that, Ikorodu being the third largest city in Nigeria must produce the highest votes for the party in the coming elections.
‘We need the votes and you are the grassroots managers. You are the ones that will deliver the target 250,000 votes for the APC presidential candidate and all other candidates in the 2023 general election’.
Finally, Benson assured the party leaders that their welfare would be well taken care for by him and other party candidates to ensure they deliver to target.
Addressing the party stakeholders earlier, the Divisional APC Chairman, Hon Tijani Olasunkanmi charged the exco members to ensure they work for a clear victory for the party in the forthcoming elections.
He also stressed that the coming elections was different from the previous ones, stating that all party members must work together as a team to deliver landslide victory for all the party’s candidate.
He also implored them to ensure they pick up their permanent voter’s card and ensure they vote before they are qualified to mobilize other party members for the election.
The party chieftain also announced to the party leaders that the party have received some decampees that left the party to PDP and implored them to welcome the returneees in their various wards and LGAs.
Concluding, he charged all party members and stakeholders to work hard for the party’s success in the forthcoming elections so that the dividends of democracy can be further delivered to the populace.
Corroborating the party’s chairman, a former LGA Chairman, Alh Musiliu Animashaun a.k.a Decubano assured that some party’s stakeholders has promised to reward wards and LGAs with the highest votes in the forthcoming elections.
Similarly, Secretary of the Arewa United, Lagos East, Alh M.D Hassan noted that, the Arewa community were fully registered members of the APC with massive PVC collection rate.
Chairman of the APC Arewa Community, Alh Zachy Idris who spoke in Yoruba, English languages also stressed that the Arewa community were committed to delivering massive votes for the APC in the 2023 elections.
