1,000 VULNERABLE IKORODU DIVISION FAMILIES RECEIVE I-CARE FOOD BANK CHRISTMAS FOOD SUPPORT

In fulfilment of its monthly I-Care Foundation Food Bank outreach to vulnerable members of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, about 1,000 families today received the I-Care food support for the month of December.

The Food Bank Initiative, according to Rep Benson is meant to ensure that the good people of Ikorodu Division experience a caring representation.

Speaking at the food distribution, Benson noted that, beyond food support, he is committed to attracting more dividends of democracy in terms of Infrastructural projects to the nooks and crannies of Ikorodu Division.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu asked me to tell you that you have not seen anything yet.

‘Our development projects are still on-going. I will continue to bring developmental projects to your neighbourhoods. If we cannot build roads, you will get health centers, solar street lights or economic empowerments’, he promised.

Earlier in his welcome address, Director-general of the I-Care Foundation, Mayor Deen Sanwoola stated that the December food distribution has been increased to 1000 from the regular 500 packs in order to accommodate more beneficiaries, in the spirit of the Christmas Season.

He equally urged beneficiaries to ensure they register online or in person at the Constituency Office, ahead of the monthly distribution exercise to ensure that they are attended to and to ensure that the exercise is not disrupted.

The Initiative was also supported by a popular businessman, Alh Fatai, popularly F1 who donated 100 loaves of bread to support the exercise.

Many of the beneficiaries, mainly the aged, widows, unemployed youths and people living with disabilities praised Rep Benson for the gesture while praying for God to continue to bless him and his family.

The exercise was witnessed by the new Iyaloja-General of Ikorodu Division, Deaconess Busola Isikalu, APC Lagos East Women, Alhaja F1, notable APC Chieftains among other dignitaries.
