YULETIDE: OVER 500 VULNERABLE IKORODU FAMILIES GET FOOD SUPPORT FROM HON JIMI BENSON’S I-CARE FOOD BANK

Exactly one week to the Christmas day and two weeks to the new year celebration, Hon Babajimi Benson has put smiles on the faces of over 500 vulnerable families who would not have had a great yuletide celebration due to unavailability of food.

Beneficiaries drawn from the less privileged, aged, widows/widowers and the unemployed population of the Ikorodu federal Constituency have benefitted from the December ration of the monthly I-Care Food Bank, sponsored by Hon. Jimi Benson, member representing Ikorodu federal Constituency at the House of Reps.

The I-Care Food Bank, a monthly food bank project has fed thousands of vulnerable Ikorodu Division residents since inception in 2016.

The December food distribution exercise was strategic as it is coming few days to the Christmas and New Year celebrations when families are expected to merry and enjoy.

Many apparently excited beneficiaries wore bright smiles on their faces, having been touched by the benevolent heart of the Ikorodu-born federal lawmaker.

A major highlight of the food distribution exercise was the rendition of beautiful Christmas songs in Yoruba language by a team of I-Care Foundation singers.

Some excited beneficiaries also sang and showered prayers on the caring federal legislator for his benevolence.
