SENATOR ABIRU, REP BENSON, HON OGUNLEYE, OTHERS MOURN THE PASSAGE OF IYALOJA-GENERAL OF IKORODU DIVISION, ALH TAOFEEKAT ALLISON

The entire Ikorodu Division of Lagos State was thrown into mourning yesterday, when the news of the sudden demise of the Iyaloja-General of Ikorodu Division, Late Alh. Taofeekat Allison filtered in.

First among those who sent condolence message on the passage of the Ikorodu Division Market Leader was the Senator, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Adetokunbo Mukhail Abiru.

In his condolence message, Abiru described Late Alhaja Allison as an illustrious and educated businesswoman who touched lives of many in Ikorodu and beyond in her lifetime.

‘She was a strong supporter of all my programmes, particularly my direct interventions for Market women and traders. I will miss Mama’s native wisdom and good counsel’, stated.

Abiru also prayed that Almighty Allah grants the family, market women and men in Ikorodu, and Lagos East Senatorial District in general, the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

Similarly, Member, Representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the House of Reps, Hon Babajimi Benson has also commiserated with the immediate family of the deceased and her immediate Constituency, the market men and women.

Benson said, ‘Alhaja Allison was a dutiful, committed, resourceful and grassroots woman, who dedicated the major part of her life time to the growth and development of Ikorodu Division’.

He continued, ‘Her words of wisdom, useful advices, ingenuity and participation in community and state affairs will be sorely missed’.

Also, Lagos State House of Assembly Member, representing Ikorodu Constituency 1, Hon Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo has released a condolence message.

Ogunleye wrote, ‘On behalf of the good People of Ikorodu Constituency 1, I, and the entire members of my team, commiserate with the Allison family and the entire ranks of market women and men of Ikorodu Constituency 1’.

He described the late Iyaloja-General as a Mother per excellence.

‘Late Alhaja Mrs Taofikat Abiodun Allison (Iyaloja General of Ikorodu) was a mother per excellence and a huge pillar to us all in the party, The All Progressives Congress (APC), and played the role of a mother, mentor, role model and a rallying figure to many whose lives she touched in different ways’.

The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon Wasiu Adeshina has also mourned the deceased Iyaloja-General of Ikorodu Division.

‘With a heavy heart and a grieving soul, I extend my condolences to the entire family of Allison, on the passing of our mother, Iya Wasiu (My Mother) as she’s fondly called, Alhaja Taofeekat Allison, the Iyaoloja General of Ikorodu Division, at the early hours of today’, he stated.

‘I, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, the Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, on behalf of my Family, Management, Legislative Arm, members of Staff, and the people of Ikorodu LG, express my condolence to the Family, Children, and Loved Ones of Alhaja Allison’, he added.

He concluded by praying that, Allah (SWT) grant her Al Jannat-ul-Firdaus. May Allah gives the good people of Ikorodu Division and the entire Ikorodu Market Men and Women the fortitude to bear the great loss.

The immediate past Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon S.O.B Agunbiade, who also doubles as the Opomulero of Ikorodu Kingdom has equally mourned the passage of Alh Allison.

Agunbiade wrote, “On behalf on my immediate family, and political associates, particularly the Onward movement of Nigeria, I express my condolences to the family and associates of the late Iyaloja General of Ikorodu Division,Alhaja Taofeekat Allison over her demise’.

‘My heart goes to them over their grief and irreparable loss. My condolences also to the entire market men and women in Ikorodu Division and Lagos State in general’, he submitted.
