Dr (Mrs) Beauty Obodo, Proprietress of Sagab College and Sagab Montessori Primary School has revealed that, God’s grace and mercy has been the secrets behind the school’s 16th years and 6th Founder’s Day Anniversaries.
Dr Obodo made this disclosure while rendering her special praise presentation to God T the 16th and 6th Sagab College and Sagab Montessori Primary School’s 16th and 6th Founder’s Day Anniversaries held at the college’s open field at Solomade Estate, Ikorodu.
The event which was characterised by series of hot praise, worship and thanksgiving renditions, according to the school Proprietress was meant to appreciate the faithfulness of God over the school.
In her brief remarks, Dr Obodo reminisced about the miraculous interventions the school enjoyed when it started from its first school building, an uncompleted house and how God uses different people at different stages of the school to help the school grow its student population, from 9 students the school started with in its first session up to its present state.
She also recalled some challenges the school faced before it got government’s approval and WAEC accreditation and how God showed up for her and the school management to scale all the hurdles.
She concluded her remark by charging those present to involve God in their challenges so that, he can help them fight and win their battles.
The electrifying praise event featured presentations from the Montessori pupils, college students, their teachers and parents’ choirs who charged the atmosphere with sizzling hot praise renditions.
A major highlight of the 2-in-1 event was the presentation of cash gifts, prizes and awards to outstanding and deserving members of staffs, who in the words of the Proprietress has added values and are resourceful to the school.
Special awards was also presented to staffs that has spent 5, 10 and 15 years in the schools.
The school’s longest serving member of staff, Mrs Sola Awoyemi was also presented with a cash gift for her loyalty to the school since inception.
Expressing her joy and appreciation, an elated Mrs Awoyemi revealed that the contagious love for God and passion of her school Proprietress has been her source of motivation to remain in the school for the past 16 years.
‘When you have a head that loves God and is passionate, the Grace will just fall on you naturally. It is the same grace that has rubbed on every staff and students of this school. That is why we don’t just see her as a boss but, a mother to everyone of us’, she submitted.
It’s all been God on our side. SAGAB is a place to be because God’s presence never depart from the school and will never leave in Jesus name.
