REP BENSON COMMENDED FOR SUSTAINING FAMILY LEGACY, AS HE IS INDUCTED INTO THE PRESTIGIOUS IKORODU DIVISION HALL OF FAME, LIKE LATE T.O.S, B.O AND BOBBY BENSON

Rep Babajimi Adegoke Benson, a scion of the Benson Family of Ikorodu and Member, representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the House of Reps has been praised for sustaining the legacy of the Benson Family.

He was commended by a former Secretary to Lagos State Government and a Member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Bashorun, who decorated him during his induction ceremony into the prestigious Ikorodu Division Hall of Fame.

Benson, who is also the Chairman, House of Reps Committee on Defense was inducted yesterday, 23rd November alongside other eminent Ikorodu Division indigenes at home and in the diaspora.

The Hall of Fame is the highest form of recognition and honour bestowed on any Ikorodu Division indigene who has distinguished himself in private or public endeavour.

Rep Benson’s recognition, according to Chief Olorunfunmi Bashorun was not unexpected as he would be the fourth in the Benson’s lineage to be inducted after Late TOS Benson, Late Bobby Benson and Late Chief B.O Benson.

Bashorun therefore commended Benson for being a good ambassador of the Benson family.

Rep Benson was represented at the induction ceremony by the Director-general of I-Care Foundation, Mayor Deen Sanwoola, who received the induction instruments on his behalf.

Others inducted alongside Benson were the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, a retired Lagos State Head of Service, Alh Babatunde Tajudeen Rotinwa and Prince Adesegun Ogunlewe.

A foremost Educationist and Founder of Caleb Group of Schools and Caleb University, Dr Oladega Adebogun was equally inducted in recognition of his sterling feats in the education sector of Nigeria.

The body also inducted an Ikorodu-born Athlete, Seye Akinola Ogunlewe, son of a former Minister for Works among many other prominent individuals.
