‘R.I JINADU IS MY BIG BROTHER, APC IS ONE BIG FAMILY’ SAYS HON WASIU ADESHINA

The fear of whether or not the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu central will close ranks and reconcile its aggrieved party members  before Saturday’s local government elections, following controversies that trailed the emergence of the party candidates at the inconclusive primaries has been finally laid to rest.

This follows a statement by the party’s chairmanship candidate, Hon Wasiu Adeshina, shortly after being presented with the party’s flag, at the party’s mega rally. Hon Adeshina thanked leaders of the party for their support and also extended the olive branch to his major rival in the build up to the primaries, Alh. R.I Jinadu, pledging his readiness to reconcile with the man he referred to as, his senior brother.

The formal presentation of candidates to party men and women as well as members of the general public at the Ikorodu central mega rally, held at Ita Elewa in Ikorodu on Saturday 15th July, 2017 amidst pomp and pageantry.

The event which was witnessed by a crowd of party men and women was chaired by the Chairman, Lagos East Senatorial District of the party, Alh Gafar who also presented the party flags to the candidates. The APC chieftain enjoined party members to support the candidates by trooping out on Saturday July 22nd, 2017 to ensure victory for APC.

Alh Gafar further admonished APC members in the local government to mobilize the electorates for the elections and the candidates in general. An indication that the party have succeeded in reconciling aggrieved members was also evident by the presence of a former chairmanship aspirant, Com Kehinde Okeowo and many supporters of Alh R.I Jinadu who graced the rally and actively participated in the campaign.
