Against the backdrop of a trending news on social media on the purported retirement of respected and humble Man of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye from his position as the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Ikorodu Oga Radio can authoritatively say that the news is false and untrue.
In an exclusive chat with an insider at the RCCG, who was also at the ministers’ meeting where the purported announcement was made, our source revealed that, contrary to the news been peddled around, Pastor Adeboye remains the General Overseer of the RCCG.
In his words ‘what happened was that Daddy G.O announced the appointment of Pastor Obayemi as the Administrative Overseer of RCCG Nigeria while Pastor Odesola, an Assistant General Overseer was also promoted to the position of the Secretary-General of RCCG and another pastor to join the national administration of RCCG Nigeria. Pastor Adeboye remains and is still the General Overseer of RCCG. That rumour is purely false and untrue.
As at the time of filing this report, neither Pastor Adeboye nor RCCG as a body has issued any official statement to debunk the trending rumour.
