The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina is set to commence the construction of a state-of-the-art legislative building for the legislative arm of the Council.
The planned commencement of the building project is in fulfillment of Adeshina’s promise during the year 2024 budget presentation to the Councilors. The Council boss promised the legislatures that a befitting legislative building would be constructed to create the necessary separation of powers between the Executive and Legislative arm, while also providing the Councilors a comfortable working environment.
To demonstrate the readiness of his administration to embark on the landmark building project, Adeshina has unveiled the 3-D Architectural design of the legislative building.
The proposed one-storey legislative complex comprises of one-story legislative edifice, 10 room Office Spaces, Glass House which will house an open space for public engagements on motions and bye-laws.
A major component of the building is the Leaders Office and adjoining facilities.
Another unique feature of the Legislative building is the Library, which is meant to serve as a resource centre on Legislative research, information and archives for Ikorodu Local Government laws and bye-laws.
According to Adeshina, the project is set to be completed within the next six months.
