LASUSTECH DISOWNS PAYSTACK ACCOUNT, WARNS STUDENTS FROM PAYING FOR MATRICULATION

The Management of Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Ikorodu has disowned a paystack account allegedly being used by some unscrupulous elements to defraud unsuspecting students under the guise of payment for the institution’s matriculation exercise, slated for Wednesday, 29th March.

The University Management also denied charging any fee for Student Matriculation, thus warning students from paying any money into the account.

The University’s rebuttal was published on the institution’s verified social media handles on Sunday night.

The statement is reproduced below;

The attention of the university management has been drawn to an advertisement requesting students to pay three thousand Naira for matriculation gowns to a pay stack account. https://paystack.com/pay/LASUSTECHMATR-2023

The notice is fraudulent, did not emanate from the university and no student is required to pay any money for matriculation. Any student paying to the account does so at his/her risk.
