LAGOS TELEVISION WINS BEST INDIGENOUS DOCUMENTARY/FEATURE AWARD

Lagos Television has won an award in the Best Indigenous Documentary/Feature (Indigenous) category at the Nigeria Broadcasting Awards Ceremony held recently at the Prestigious Eko Hotels Convention Centre, Victoria Island.

The General Manager of the Station, Ms. Siju Alabi and two other members of the Management Team received the award on behalf of Lagos Television.

In her remarks, Alabi appreciated the organisers for nominating the station and expressed joy at clinching the prestigious award, stressing that the award will serve as an encouragement to all the members of staff of Lagos Television to do more towards achieving greater feats in future.

Lagos Television was nominated alongside four other stations in the category. The station was also nominated in the Best Television Show category with its Indigenous News programme “Iroyin Lerefe”.

The Maiden Award Ceremony organised by the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON) is designed to reward excellence in the broadcast industry and honour veterans who have contributed to the growth and development of Broadcasting in Nigeria.

17 other broadcast stations across Nigeria also won various awards in other categories.
