In response to the incessant cult killings and criminal activities being witnessed across Ikorodu community, the apex community organisation, Ikorodu Oga Development Association (IKODASS) has announced a security stakeholders’ meeting to be attended by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeeem Odumosu.

IKODASS made the disclosure in a statement, signed by its Honourable Secretary, Com. Pelaye Jamiu Okanlawon  and made availablet to Ikorodu Oga Radio.

The statement is reproduced below;

Following the spate of killings arising from various shades of criminalities and cultism which have in recent times made lkorodu Division a dreaded place to visit, reside or transact business, it has become imperative for us all to chart a new course that would avert recurrence of all forms of nefarious activities within lkorodu Division and its environs.

Towards this end, the Commissioner for Police in Lagos State Mr Odumosu will be officially visiting lkorodu with all the Kabiyesis in the division in attendance as well as other Stakeholders in which your club/organization is seen as one interested entity, to discuss the raging issue of insecurity and by extension profer solutions to the same.

Consequently, I have d approval of the Ayangbure of lkorodu, Oba Engr Kabiru Adewale Shotobi (GCIO) to invite two members from your Club/ Organization to a meeting on Wednesday, 27th January 2021 at Ikorodu Town Hall at 10am propmt.

It is to be noted that Covid 19 protocols will be strictly observed as no guest would be allowed entry into the hall without nose mask.

Kindly attend punctually nd accord this invitation the importance that it deserves.

The security of our division is a collective responsibility. Let us join hands to bring back the fast fading glory of our Division. May God help us as we also help ourselves in this Security crusade by taking positive action towards stemming d tide of pervasive insecurity in this division of Lagos State.
