IMOTA IS A BENEFICIARY OF THE DIVIDENDS OF GOOD LEADERSHIP IN LAGOS STATE, SAYS RANODU OF IMOTA, OBA MUDASHIRU AJIBADE BAKARE

The Ranodu of Imota in Ikorodu Division, His Royal Majesty, Oba Mudashiru Ajibade Bakare, has attributed the development visiting Imota community area of Ikorodu to the focused leadership Lagos State has been blessed with since 1999.

Oba Mudashiru, who will be marking his 24th anniversary on the throne of his ancestors in June this year, in an interview with the ‘Palace Watch’ in his palace, expressed satisfaction with the level of development recorded in the community, noting that the Imota he met when he ascended the throne almost 24 years ago was a far cry from what it is now.

While answering questions, the Monarch praised the former Governor of the state and National Leader of the All Progressive Congress; Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who was elected into office in 1999, reached out to the grassroots to identify the perculiar needs of each area in Lagos State by creating more Local Governments and providing them with social amenities.

The Monarch also reckoned that the rice processing mill, where Lake Rice is produced, which was constructed during the tenure of Babatunde Fashola and adjudged to be the best in the South Western part of the country, has a great role to play in the development of his community.

The Ranodu of Imota added that Governor Akinwumi Ambode, has taken a step further than his predecessors with the relocation of Mile 12 market to Imota, which he referred to as ‘pot of prosperity’.
