IKORODU DIVISION PEACE INITIATIVE DONATES MOTORBIKE TO NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY, IKORODU MODEL STUDY CENTRE

The Management of Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative (IDPIL) has donated a motorcycle to the newly opened Ikorodu Model Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

The donation of the motorcycle, according the Executive Secretary of the body, Otunba Ganiyu Olusegun Abiru was a way of demonstrating the support and commitment of the IDPIL to the University.

This he said was in line with the vision of the organization to promote the overall development of Ikorodu Division, with education as one of the key pillars of the body’s SHEER Community Development Agenda.

The Director of Administration, Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative, (IDPIL) Mr Salami Taiwo Awolaru who presented the motorcycle to Prof Saheed Oluwatoyin Ajibola, Centre Director, NOUN Ikorodu Model Study Centre on behalf of the IDPIL at the body’s office in Ikorodu noted that the body was happy with the opening of NOUN in Ikorodu.

Receiving the motorcycle on behalf of his Centre, Prof Ajibola expressed gratitude to the IDPIL for its gestures to the University.

He disclosed that the motorcycle would further aid the logistics and operations of the Centre especially in shuttling between the University’s multi-campus locations across Ikorodu Division.

He further expressed the readiness of the University in supporting the IDPIL through trainings and certification of its operatives.
