The Ikorodu Development Association (IKODASS), an umbrella body for all social clubs, associations and groups across Ikorodu local government has held its pre-election general council meeting on Sunday, 24th March, 2019 at its IKODASS Civic Centre permanent site, Akasolori Ikorodu.
The well-attended general council meeting considered a number of issues ranging from annual dues, presentation of the revised IKODASS Constitution, election and handing-over among other important matters.
The climax of the meeting was the election of a 5-man electoral officers to oversee the conduct of the bi-ennial election for incoming executives as the Otunba Ganiyu Olusegun Abiru-led executive wounds up its constitutional two year term in few months.
After a keen but open contest, Mr Lemmy Anibaba was elected as Chairman IKODEC with Mr Segun Iluyombo, Mr Oredein, Monsuru Olalekan as members. They were charged with the mandate to fix a date for the election, sell application forms to contestants, screen contestants and ensure a hitch-free election and handing-over from the Abiru-led executive to the incoming executive to be sworn-in by May 2019.
