IKEJA ELECTRIC COMPANY ANNOUNCES 2-WEEK POWER OUTAGE ACROSS IKORODU DIVISION

The management of Ikeja Electric Plc has announced that there would be power outage at the Ikorodu Transmission Station, for the installation of an additional 60MVA, 132/33KV transformer meant to serve the community.

The energy-distribution company disclosed that the planned outage will affect three 33kv feeders, namely; Spintex, Ijede and T2 15MVA, 33/11kv. The company also added that four 11kv feeders would be affected at Sabo Injection Sub-station, which includes Lasunwon, Ladega, Eyita and Igbogbo feeders.

Ikeja Electric Plc, also revealed that the outage, which commenced on 2nd February will last till16th February, 2017. It further stated that customers on the affected feeders will be back-fed from alternative feeders during the period, and this will result in load shedding. Management of the company however appealed to affected customers to bear with them, noting that the effort is only to serve them better.
