HON JIMI BENSON SAYS MICROSOFT TRAINING FOR SMEs AND ASPIRING YOUTH ENTREPRENEURS WILL TAKE YOUTHS OFF THE STREET

In line with his tradition of organizing trainings and economic empowerment for the teeming

Ikorodu-based small and medium scale enterprise owners as well as aspiring entrepreneurs, Hon Babajimi Benson’s I-Care Foundation has held another round of training for this category of businesses across the Ikorodu federal constituency.

The training, which was in partnership with world-renowned Microsoft brand was put together by the young and dynamic federal lawmaker, as a means of boosting the economic fortunes of Ikorodu division, through enterprise development initiatives.

The well-attended training was packed full with insightful teachings and expositions on global best practices in small and medium enterprise development and management strategies, ably anchored by the trio of Microsoft Certified trainers, Mr Olusola Amusan, Mrs Olatomiwa Williams and Mr Oluwamuyemi Orimolade.

In their separate presentations,  the Microsoft trainers exposes the participants to some of the Microsoft business development tools, while encouraging them to get follow up training at Microsoft Academy in order to enhance their ICT skills.

Speaking on the sideline of the training programme, Hon Babajimi Benson reiterated his commitment to empowerment of his constituents, particularly the youths, beyond giving them hand-outs, which according to him will not last. He added that, with the training, he has been able to kick-start another process that will eventually take many Ikorodu youths out of the streets.
