Honourable Babajimi Benson, member, representing Ikorodu federal constituency and the premier online community radio in Nigeria, Ikorodu Oga Radio were both honoured at the 2016 Customer / Staff Appreciation and Award Dinner.
While Hon Jimi Benson was honoured with the Ikorodu Division’s Best Representative of the year Award, 2016 for his various youth empowerment programmes and initiatives towards helping the less-privileged across Ikorodu Division, through his I-Care Foundation, Ikorodu Oga Radio was on the other hand honoured with the ‘Best Community New Initiative For 2016 Award’, for pioneering the unique and innovative first online community radio in the entire division and Lagos State in general.
Speaking on the idea behind the event, Engr Sam Amosun, Chairman Ai-Royal Hotel expressed gratitude to patrons and staff of the hotel for their unalloyed support and commitments to the success of the organization in the year 2016. He further explained that the award and dinner night was a way of identifying and celebrating those behind the company’s success.
In his remarks, Mr Taiwo Odumbo, principal Lagos State University (LASU) International School, who represented Hon Jimi Benson at the event commended the management of Ai-Royal Hotel for the honour, while promising more practical representation and delivery of democracy dividends to residents of Ikorodu division.
Others honoured at the event include, members of staff, loyal customers and members of the community development association for their support and cooperation with the hotel management in 2016.
