It was a frenzy atmosphere yesterday at the annual I-Care Foundation end of the year party as four (5) lucky people won free cars while another lucky person won a tricycle, courtesy of Ikorodu federal lawmaker, Hon Babajimi Benson.
The lucky car winners are Founder Ikorodu of Ambassadors, Rasheed Fatuga, Principal LASU Int’l School, Taiwo Odumbo and an Ikorodu APC leader, Alh Musiliu Animashaun.
Other lucky winners are Mrs Bisi Ajenifuja and Mrs Ronke Kenku. Also, a widow, Mrs Bola Salau won a tricycle.
Other lucky winners also won gifts ranging from Tricycle, solar powered light, cash among other consolation prizes.
What is instructive about the car gifts was the fact that none of the lucky winners had a prior knowledge of their gifts until when their names was announced openly as lucky winners thus eliciting a mixture of shock and excitements.
While Hon Benson appreciated his Foundation members for their unflinching support and loyalty, he commended the gathering for always supporting him and the APC in Ikorodu and Lagos State at large.
He announced and presented the first two car gifts to Taiwo Odumbo and Rasheed Fatuga while his beautiful wife,Mrs Jumoke Benson presented to the two lucky female winners.
According to I-Care Foundation DG, Mayor Deen Sanwoola, yesterday’s event was the 6th edition of the annual event which started in 2014.
Sanwoola explained that it was a platform for celebrating and appreciating I-Care Foundation members whose selfless voluntary services was behind the many successes and strides recorded by Hon Jimi Benson.
Commending the initiative, newly elected Ikorodu born Senator-Elect, Senator Tokunbo Abiru was full of praises for Hon Jimi Benson and his foundation for going all out to put smiles on the faces of the ordinary people.
Abiru also confessed that, he has been learning a lot from Hon Benson in the last three months that he joined active politics. He thanked God for the opportunity of having a confidant like him who he was sure he could always consult when he finally settled down to work at the Senate in Abuja.
The colourful and fun-filled event featured comedy by Talktalk, gift exchange, dancing competition.
Some of the guests that graced the event include, Senator Tokunbo Abiru, Hon Saheed Ibikunle, Hon Sesan Daini, Alh Musiliu Animashaun and Mrs Bolanle Bashorun among others.
