FORMER IKORODU DIVISION SOLE ADMINISTRATORS, PARTY LEADERS, OTHERS COMMEND REP BENSON’S MONTHLY FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Exactly 24 Hours after he gave cash support to about 125 market men and women across Ikorodu Division as a form of palliative to cushion the biting effect of the fuel subsidy removal by the federal government, Rep Benson has again provided succour to about 500 vulnerable members of his Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

Former Sole Administrators of Ikorodu Division local council areas as well as notable APC chieftains have poured encomiums on the dynamic federal lawmaker, for always identifying with the less privileged in his Constituency.

Present at the event were the duo of Hon Segun Anifowose, former Sole Administrator, Ikorodu West LCDA and his counterpart from Igbogbo-Bayeku LCDA, Hon (Mrs) Bashorun. The former council helmsmen commended Benson for showing empathy to the less privileged in the Division.

Similarly, the Ikorodu Division APC Woman Leader, Mrs Wonuola Folami who also witnessed the September monthly distribution exercise described Benson as a politician with a very large heart.

The monthly free food distribution, powered by Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson’s iCare Foundation is aimed at assisting and cushioning the effects of the current hardship on the constituent members in Ikorodu Division.   

This formed the basis of discussion last Saturday during the presentation of another large quantity of food packs to over 500 less privileged people in his constituents. 

Rep. Babajimi Benson, who was represented by the DG of iCARE Foundation, Mayor Muhydeen Sanwoola at the event stated that Rep. Babajimi Benson will continue to give quality representation and ensure that the needy, particularly the elderly, widowed, unemployed and physically challenged ones are prevented from going to bed on empty stomach.

In his brief remarks, Deen said, “The essence of this initiative is to support our people and enable them to feed themselves for a while”.

The distribution of the food packs was done by the former council heads and other notable APC chieftains and iCARE Foundation members present at the event. 

Many of the beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt appreciations to Rep. Babajimi Benson for his unwavering support. The beneficiaries recognized and valued his support, and their gratitude is a testament to the positive change he has brought to the whole of Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
