As part of his administrations strive towards promoting education, the Executive Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government, Hon Wasiu Adeshina is set to give bursary awards to 100 students of Ikorodu Local Government origin, as a way of supporting and encouraging the students in their educational pursuit.
According to Hon Adeshina, “The beneficiaries of the bursary awards have been carefully selected from the seven wards in the LGA through screening after obtaining bursary forms at the Local Government.
The council chairman, in a chat with Ikorodu Oga Radio vowed to continue to work round the clock till development can be felt across every sector of Ikorodu Local Government.
Hon Adesina explained that his administration decided to embark on the bursary award on order to assist the students in their struggles to get formal education. He added that, it was also meant to support parents as a government closest to the people, in a bid to ensure indigenes of Ikorodu Local government do not drop out of school due to lack of financial support.
