EASTER CELEBRATION: FIVE HUNDRED INDIGENT IKORODU FAMILIES RECEIVE I-CARE FOUNDATION FOOD LARGESSE

Hundreds of indigent families across Ikorodu Division have again benefited from the monthly I-Care Foundation Food Bank free food distribution for the month of March.

The monthly food bank project, sponsored by Hon Babajimi Benson Member representing Ikorodu federal constituency has been in operations since October, 2015.

This distribution is coming barely one week to the annual Easter festivities celebrated by Christians and non-Christians alike.

Speaking on behalf of Hon Benson, Alh Ismail Oladimeji Oriare, Coordinator I-Care Foundation for Ikorodu West LCDA noted that the distribution was important to ensure that no resident of Ikorodu federal constituency celebrates Easter on empty stomach.

He added that, thousands of indigent families will continue to benefit from the monthly food largesse, in fulfilment of Hon Benson’s commitment towards bringing smiles to the faces of his constituents.

Beneficiaries comprising of the aged, widowed, specially challenged individuals and unemployed youths got a bag of free food items dubbed ‘Apo Aanu’ which contains raw foodstuffs, groceries and beverages enough to last a family of five for three days.

Same of the beneficiaries of this month’s food distribution have charged well-meaning individuals, particularly public office holders to borrow a leaf from the federal lawmaker as a way of bringing succour to the needy.
