COMMUNITY POLICING: IDPIL SUPPORTS LJTF ZONAL COMMANDS WITH PLASTIC CHAIRS FOR MEETINGS, ENGAGEMENTS

The Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative IDPIL is in the news again for the good reasons.

It would be recalled that the body recently presented N30 Million Naira Scholarship and Bursary Award to about 260 Undergraduates across Nigerian universities who are either indigenes or residents of any of the Ikorodu Division communities.

This time around, the body on Monday presented dozens of plastic chairs to all the six Zonal commands of the LJTF at its Ikorodu Head Office.

Director of Finance and Administration of the IDPIL, Mr Salami Awolaru who presented the items to representatives of the zones noted that the gesture was to further create an enabling environment the operatives to engage themselves and members of the general public when necessary.

Speaking on the importance of the presentation, he stated that the chairs were provided based on requests by the operatives across all the Zonal commands in the Division.

Awolaru added that, while the chairs may look negligible, it would further enhance regular meetings and engagements between operatives within the same zone in any council area.
