The vibrant Maya community witnessed a momentous occasion yesterday as distinguished guests gathered to witness the commissioning of three blocks of classrooms at African Bethel Primary School, Maya, Ikorodu.
The unveiling ceremony was graced by esteemed figures including the House of Representatives Member, Honourable Babajimi Benson; Hon. Ayo Wisdom, the Minister of State for Youth; Honourable Toyin Gafar Bolowotan, former DG Lagos State Sports Commission; Prince Yomi Sopitan, former Executive Assistant to the Governor on Maritime; Honourable Ameen Olawale Apanishile, Vice Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA; Hon. Niyi Odugbesi, Secretary to the Local Government; Hon. Matthew Adesanya, Supervisor for Education; Alhaji Jimoh Odidi, APC chieftain at Ikorodu North LCDA; Prince Niran Ogunbanwo, CDC Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA and numerous other dignitaries.
In addition to the meticulous renovation of the building, Builder Deola Banjo generously provided new chairs, desks, white marker boards, and stationery, ensuring the students are equipped for a conducive learning environment as they prepare to resume next week.
Addressing the audience, the Chairman expressed his swift response upon learning of the school’s condition, emphasizing the urgency to create a more suitable environment for the pupils. Honourable Babajimi Benson extended his gratitude to Builder Deola Banjo for his unwavering dedication to community development, highlighting his swift action and commitment to excellence.
