CHESS WORLD RECORD: AYANGBUREN OF IKORODU, OBA SHOTOBI CELEBRATES TUNDE ONAKOYA, SET TO HOST A SPECIAL RECEPTION IN HIS HONOUR

The Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi has sent a congratulatory message to Tunde Onakoya, the new Guinness World Record Holder in Chess on his latest feat for breaking the Guinness World Record in Chess by playing chess for a total of 60 hours non-stop.

Oba Shotobi sent his special congratulatory message through a former Commissioner for Information in Lagos State, Otunba Ayodele Elesho who also doubles as the Agba-Akin of Ikorodu.

The message reads, ‘His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, Ayangbure of Ikorodu kingdom on behalf of himself and the entire good people of Ikorodu Kingdom are extremely happy for the World Class feat and attainment of a 29 years old proud resident of IKORODU Mr Tunde Onakoya, who is extremely passionate about lkorodu Kingdom’.


‘To break the Guinness World record and become the World Chess Master, this great Ikorodu “BOY” recorded unmatched 60 long hours unbeatable Chess marathon playing in New York City’s Time Square, USA.
Tunde Onakoya, we are proud of this your great achievement, while praying for more successes for you in this game and all your other endeavours in life’, the monarch added.


Oba Shotobi also promised that the Ayangbure Palace in conjunction with other progressive organisations in lkorodu Kingdom will host Onakoya to a reception on his return to the Country, promising that discussions was already on-going to honour him with the appropriate IKORODU OGA AWARD.
