BREAKING!!! IKORODU GENERAL HOSPITAL GETS ELEVATOR, 39 YEARS AFTER ESTABLISHMENT

The Ikorodu General Hospital management has just taken delivery of an elevator, to aid the movement of patients and staffs within the 2 storey hospital facility.

The latest delivery is another feather to the cap of achievements of the Doctor Taiwo Kamorudeen Hassan led leadership due to the numerous developmental projects so far embarked upon by the hospital management.

Doctor Hassan broke the cheering news to newsmen during the visit and donation of 10 hospital bed and mattresses to the facility by the Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon S.O.B Agunbiade on Wednesday.

Announcing the delivery of the elevator, Dr Hassan said, ‘This hospital was established 1983 and it’s about 39 years now and I am delighted to say that this administration is installing a lift in General Hospital, Ikorodu after 39 years. I want to say thank you to my staff. It’s their innovation, it’s their thinking and God brought it into fruition’.

Dr Hassan assured that as soon as installation is completed, the lift will be ready for use by the hospital patients and members of Staff in a matter of weeks.

He explained that the elevator will now make the movement of weak patients and those in critical conditions easy and mess stressful, thus eliminating the stress of moving patients on wheel chair and stretcher through the staircase.

The hospital boss also gave his visitor an insight into some major changes and developments facilitated under his leadership.

‘We went to the Orthopaedic Department we renovated the place. We also did the Physiotherapy, it is the best in all the hospitals in Lagos state aside from LASUTH that is a tertiary institution. Our Dental Department is first of its kind. When I came into this hospital I met about two dental chairs and we have increased it to five dental chairs. We have also renovated the place. We did the Staff Car Park and the Laboratory Car Park too. We had to do a recreational facility for staff so that they can do sports’.

‘We could not have done all these without saying ‘Thank You’ to Mr Governor because he is a father of all. He has been very supportive. In the same vein, the Commissioner for Health Dr Akin Abayomi, I must say thank you to him too’, he concluded.
