BREAKING: IDPIL SET TO FACILITATE COMMERCIAL BANK BRANCH FOR IMOTA COMMUNITY

The economic prospect of the once sleepy Imota town in Imota Local Council Development Area of Ikorodu Division is set to receive a major boost with the plan by the Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative (IDPIL) to facilitate the citing of a new commercial bank branch in the community.

This cheering news was shared to the excitements of Ranodu of Imota, Oba Ajibade Mudashiru Bakare Agoro, his Council of Chiefs, Baales and the Executive Chairman of Imota LCDA, Hon Wasiu Kunle Agoro, who was ably represented by his Vice, Hon Benson.

High Chief Adewunmi Ogunsanya, SAN the B.O.T Chairman of Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative (IDPIL) broke the news on Tuesday at the Palace of the Ranodu of Imota, during the formal commissioning and handing-over of Solar Street Lights provided for Ayayo Street in the community by the IDPIL.

Ogunsanya, who is also the Odofin of Ikorodu lamented the current situation being faced by the community regarding the non-existence of any commercial bank in the community, save for a UBA ATM Point which has now been closed down.

He noted that, government alone cannot be left alone to cater for the economic development of the nation, hence the decision of the IDPIL to facilitate the opening of the first commercial bank in Imota Community, as part of its community development agenda for promoting Commerce.

The announcement by Ogunsanya attracted rousing applause from all stakeholders at the event.

He promised that ground works for the opening of the bank branch had commenced and would soon come to fruition.

It would be recalled that the Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative IDPIL recently donated solar street lights to the entire stretch of Ayayo Street, Imota, in fulfilment of one of its SHEER cardinal community development agenda.

The event was graced by the Ranodu of Imota, Oba Ajibade Mudashiru Bakare Agoro, his Baales, Chiefs and other key community stakeholders.
