There is no doubt that politics is a game of number, hence the need for political parties to go into election as one big family.
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ikorodu Constituency 1 House of Assembly seat in the 2023 general elections, Hon Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo (OGA) seems to understand this fact, hence he has started closing ranks with some of his co-contenders for the APC ticket in the build up to the party’s primaries that produced him as the party’s flagbearer.
Breaking the news to Ikorodu Oga Radio, the Director of Media and Publicity of the OGA Campaign organisation, Comrade Japheth Odesanya described the two men as members of one big APC family in Ikorodu.
‘Hon. Toyin Gafar Bolowotan and Hon. Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo(OGA) this evening, exchanged pleasantries. The much anticipated reconciliation has been brokered. We thank specially, Hon. Babajimi Benson who facilitated the parley’, he said.
He equally appealed to supporters of the two leaders to sheathe their sword and work for the party’s victory at the forthcoming polls.
‘We equally appeal to our teeming supporters to spread the spirit of love and desist from unwarranted overzealousness. Hon. Toyin Gafar remains a steadfast pillar of support for the GREATER IKORODU PROJECT and the All Progressives Congress(APC)’, he added.
Speaking further, he said, ‘Again, we wish to express our profound gratitude to all stakeholders involved in the build up toward this progressive initiative. The best form of compensation for this height of historic sportsmanship, as displayed by Hon. Bolowotan, is to give the forward-looking people of Ikorodu Constituency 1 a responsive and responsible representation in the Lagos State House of Assembly. This is OGA’s mission’, he concluded.
