The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon Wasiu Adeshina has said that the victory of the ruling, All Progressives Congress calls for celebration, considering how fierce the contest was.
Adeshina stated this on Wednesday at the Ikorodu Local Government APC Victory Party held at the party secretariat in Ikorodu.
‘We want to thank God Almighty for making our party win the election at the National and State level’, he stated.
‘It is a way of giving thanks to the Almighty and to also show appreciation to our party members for their hardwork during the campaigns’, he added.
He also added that it was also ‘meant to appreciate electorates for their support and also to assure them that we are solidly with them and that they will enjoy more dividends of democracy now that our Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been re-elected’.
Speaking in similar vein, the Ikorodu Local Government APC Chairman, Alh Waheed Animashaun noted that the victory party was a way of celebrating the party’s victory at the recent polls with party members.
The event was graced by Ikorodu Apex APC Leadership, led by Prince Abiodun Ogunleye. He was joined by other members namely, Alh Musiliu Animashaun, Alh Babatunde Rotinwa and Iyaloja General of Ikorodu Division, Alh Taofeekat Allison.
Others were the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon Wasiu Adeshina, his Vice, Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba and the Ikorodu Division APC Woman Leader, Alh Rasheedat.
Councilors, Supervisory Councillors and other political appointees were will represented at the victory party.
Members were treated to varieties of sumptuous meals, assorted drinks and melodious songs by Slim DJ Fatuga.
