IYALOJA-GENERAL OF IKORODU DIVISION AT 50: DCNS BUSOLA ISIKALU SUPPORTS AGED, WIDOWS, SINGLE MOTHERS WITH FOOD PALLIATIVES, FABRICS AND CASH SUPPORT

Over 200 widows and single mothers and orphans from different parts of Ikorodu Division were supported with food palliative, fabrics and cash gifts today by the Iyaloja-General of Ikorodu Division, Dcns Busola Isikalu.

The humanitarian gesture was carried out by the Ikorodu Division market leader to commemorate her 50th birthday anniversary today, January 19, 2025.

The empowerment initiative which took place at the Ayangburen Palace pavilion in Ikorodu was implemented under the auspices of Isikalu’s Dorcas Foundation, a non-governmental organization established to support the less privileged in the society.

Addressing the press on the sideline of the exercise, Iyaloja-General of Ikorodu Division disclosed that Dorcas Foundation was a platform through which she ministers to the underprivileged, as a way of giving back to the society.

She further explained that what makes the 2026 outreach unique was that it coincided with her 50th birthday celebration.

Isikalu noted that, while her 50th birthday was a time for celebrating the goodness of God in her life and family, it also afforded her the opportunity for sober reflection on the plight of the less privileged persons in the society, hence the initiative.

Beneficiaries of the exercise were full of prayers and appreciation to the apex leader of the Ikorodu Division market men and women for her kind gesture.

The exercise was graced by prominent market men and women across Ikorodu Division and its environs.
