ENHANCED SECURITY: ADEBORUWA OF IGBOGBO, IGBOGBO-BAIYEKU LCDA CHAIR, RESIDENTS AND STAKEHOLDERS COMMEND REP. BENSON FOR FACILITATING SMART POLICE STATION AT ELEPE COMMUNITY

The Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, has commended Rep. Babajimi Benson for facilitating the first Smart Police station in the entire Area ‘N’ Zone of the Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State.

Similarly, the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun has expressed deep appreciation to Benson for supporting his administration by facilitating and commissioning the massive project within six months that he assumed office.

Aroyewun specifically thanked Benson for fulfilling the promise he made to him, and by extension the entire residents of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA when the project commenced barely six months ago, that it would be completed within the scheduled timeline.

The Council Chairman equally charged residents to take ownership of the project and ensure they cooperate with the men of the Nigerian Police in the discharge of their duties of providing security in the entire area.

Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun, member representing Ikorodu Constituency 2 at the House of Assembly, while thanking Benson for facilitating the project, described the project as timely, considering the spate of kidnapping and security situation in the area in recent times.

The state lawmaker admitted that Rep. Benson thinks ahead of others for facilitating such a massive smart police station project, when he was only pushing for the establishment of a police post in the area.

Speaking on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, DCP State CID, representing the Inspector-General of Police, DCP Dayo Akinbiseyin, CP, Lagos State CID Dept. in his remarks commended the IGP for the project.

He stated that the ultra-modern police station perfectly aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He further commended President Tinubu for his steadfast support for the Nigerian Police and the Trust Fund.

DCP Akinbiseyin stressed that the project represented a major improvement in infrastructure and enhanced operations capacity of the Nigerian Police, which will in turn serve as a functional and conducive working environment.

He commended Rep. Benson for his commitment to the overall peace and security of the entire Ikorodu Division through the amart police station project.

CP Olorundare Moshood Jimoh, CP Lagos state noted that the new ultra-modern police station will enhance visibility, prompt response and foster seamless interaction with the community and residents alike.
