ACCOLADES AS REP. BENSON, IKORODU LG EDUCATION SECRETARY, TAIWO ODUMBO PLEDGE TO PARTNER ISAAC PEJU-AKINYEMI TO DONATE HIS AUTOBIOGRAPHY TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS ACROSS IKORODU DIVISION

It was accolades galore on Thursday, 24th July, 2025 at the Gbadamosi Conference Hall of the Ikorodu Town Hall where dignitaries gathered for the Formal Book Launch and Public Presentation of ‘From Childhood to Adulthood’, an autobiography of Isaac Peju-Akinyemi, an 18 year old multi-talented Wordsmith and Author.

The book, which chronicles a detailed account of the different stages of growth, challenges and triumphs of the author, is poised to equip teenagers, young adults and children with the right information and life skills they need to navigate different stages of life.

The Author, a Law Undergraduate of the University of Lagos, in his welcome speech, explained that he was inspired to write the book as an essential guide for teenagers and young adults alike to navigate different challenges that are peculiar to their age.

Peju-Akinyemi further stated that the book aims to use the different stages of his life and the challenges he faced, from ‘Childhood to Adulthood’ as a practical compass for other teenagers to navigate their peculiar challenges successfully.

Impressed by the courage and determination of the author to make a difference, even at 18 years of age, Chairman of the Occasion, Rep. Babajimi Benson has pledged to support the author’s dream, of donating copies of the book to public schools across Ikorodu Division by bankrolling the exercise.

Benson, who was ably represented by Mayor Deen Sanwo-Ola, Director-General of iCARE Foundation, praised the young author for his bold vision and commitment to visions and purpose, rather than pursuing ephemeral things, like many teenagers of his age.

Earlier, the Ikorodu Local Government Education Secretary, Alh. Taiwo Odumbo had pledged to work with Isaac in order to assist him to get the books into schools under his purview.

The administrator also applauded the young author for setting a good example for other teenagers to follow.
