The Management Board of Ikorodu Town Hall today, 29th March held its 2024 Annual General Meeting to give report of her activities to key stakeholders and to chart the course for the new year.
The historic event which was chaired by the Board Chairman, Otunba Arc. Taiwo Akintunde Kara, was attended by other members of the board, including a former Minister for Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe who is an ex-officio member.
A major highlight of the 2024 Annual General Meeting of the Ikorodu Town Hall Management Board was the exchange of baton between the outgoing Board Secretary and his successor, upon the expiration of the tenure of the Board Secretary, Otunba Wole Odulate who has served the board for the statutory 2-year tenure.
In appreciation of Odulate’s meritorious service to the Board during his tenure as the Scribe, he was presented with a Special Award of Service by the Chairman of the Ikorodu Town Hall Management Board, Otunba Arc. Taiwo Akintunde Kara who was supported by the immediate past Board Chairman, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe.
Appreciating Odulate, on behalf of the Board, the Vice Chairman, Dr. Mobolaji Olukoya thanked the outgoing Scribe for his selfless service to the Board, while wishing him success in his private endeavours.
‘He has worked diligently and commitedly towards the success of the board and he is deserving of the award of excellent service being presented to him’, Dr Olukoya said.
To fill the vacant position, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe subsequently nominated Barr. Nurudeen Ogbara. The nomination was overwhelmingly endorsed by all members of the Board in attendance.
The newly appointed Board Secretary, Barr. Nurudeen Ogbara who is also a notable member of the IDRDG brings a wealth of professional experience as a legal practitioner of repute with community service resume, to his new role.
Other members of the Board at the meeting were, the Vice Chairman, Dr. Mobolaji Olukoya, Board Secretary, Otunba Odulate and Barr. Nurudeen Ogbara.
Others were, Om’oba ‘Peju Akinyemi, Mr Babatunde Afuwape and Management Staff of the foremost Community-owned event Centre.
