7/7 COMMEMORATION: IDPIL-LJTF ISSUES STERN WARNING TO CULTISTS TO STAY OFF IKORODU DIVISION TERRITORIES

Few hours to 7th July, the Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative IDPIL -Local Joint Task Force has issued a stern warning to cultists to stay off Ikorodu Division territories tomorrow and subsequently or meet their waterloo.

The IDPIL-LJTF issued the warning against the backdrop of negative image, given to the date by cultists who mark their anniversary on 7th July, with blood bath and violence, this disturbing community peace.

The body gave the warning at her Management Committee meeting held at the body’s headquarters in Ikorodu on Thursday, 6th July.

Speaking on behalf of the Local Joint Task Force, the Commandant of the IDPIL-LJTF, Akogun Lanre Labinjo stated that his men were fully on ground to deal with any trouble makers that may want to forment trouble in any part of Ikorodu Division, tomorrow and subsequently.

He therefore charged parents and guardians to keep their eyes on their wards and caution them against keeping bad companies.

Olabinjo equally encouraged members of the general public with useful information about strange gatherings in the community not to hesitate to report such to the nearest police station or visit the IDPIL office at Ita-Elewa.

He concluded by stating that, any cultist or trouble makers caught threatening the peace of the Division will face the full wrath of the law.

It is to be bites that rival cult groups usually mark the 7th of July every year, otherwise called 7/7 with extreme violence and rival gang wars.

The trend has however been checkmated by the IDPIL-LJTF since it’s inauguration about two years ago.
