Less than two weeks to Christmas and barely three weeks to the new year celebration, the Executive Secretary of the Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative (IDPIL) and operators of the Ikorodu Division Local Joint Task Force (LJTF) Otunba Ganiyu Olusegun Abiru has advocated for safety and security consciousness among residents across Ikorodu Division.
Abiru gave the advice in an exclusive chat with Ikorodu Oga Radio on the sideline of the distribution of bags of rice and live chickens to operatives of the body in Ikorodu.
Abiru noted that people are more prone to security breaches during the yuletide season, hence his advice.
‘I want to enjoin all residents of Ikorodu Division to be security conscious as they celebrate the yuletide season’.
‘When you see something, you should say something. Don’t say it does not concern me. Security is the collective responsibility of everyone. It is not only meant for the police or LJTF operatives. When our communities are secured, our businesses and social lives will thrive . Even our political life will be better for it’, he stressed.
